Or are you interested in giving them a shot?
They're a small little group at the moment (10 members away from 500!) But the community is very friendly. The lore is interesting and the way magic is handled is very unique! It's not hard to get pets, and they are very fair to members that can and can't use real $$$ (No ridiculous $60 adoptables with .2 upgrades, and easily affordable raffles! Plus plenty of free give aways for people that aren't able to pay with cash!)
The mods are very kind, and always willing to listen to suggestions! No asking for feedback and then ignoring it here! Plus look at the species you can be! They're adorable!
(Also, canon LGBT+ characters, A++++)
I really love WhistlerCrest, and I think you will too! Come give it a try!
I'm sure those of you that have never joined an upgrade species are really confused! Night why do you like these things so much! Well let me list off a few fun things about them!
I've made quite a few friends through upgrade groups! I met Vaylore
through them for example, and they're great friends! It's a good way to have a common ground right from the beginning- you're both in the same group, so you can chat about events, upgrades for your characters, storylines for them, all kinda stuff. Some group members are shy, but a lot of them will open up so long as you engage!
-Roleplay! You like the RP? So do 99% percent of people in these groups!
-Character design and building! Do you need some practice with developing or designing characters? Upgrade species are great for helping you learn how to make appealing designs that aren't a massive clusterfuck.
-Experience! Being in one of these groups, or multiple, can help you improve your art or writing a lot! There's usually something for you to do with your character, so you often have a reason to draw! Plus all these groups offer bigger rewards the further you go with your drawings, so it helps you to push yourself!
-Responsibility/Deadlines! When it comes to weekly prompts or events there are set time limits. Helpful for helping you get used to working on a time limit and learning how to budget your time!
