NiGHTS 20th Anniversary T-Shirt Contest

So I WAS going to wait until I got input from the other moderators, but apparently they're busy with life, so... WITHOUT FURTHER ADO...

NiGHTS TURNS 20 THIS YEAR!!!! SO, let's have a Design an Anni T-shirt Contest!

Design a NiGHTS themed 20th logo with the intention of having it eventually be available as a limited edition shirt. The winner gets a free shirt. (And everyone else is welcome to order one if they want...) I'm debating having two runner ups get their design on a pillow case, but we'll see how the responses go.

The winner gets their design front and center, nice and big on the shirt, and everyone else's entries will either be slightly smaller and posted elsewhere on the shirt, or posted all over the back. If it looks like a group compilation of the other logos will work, we may make that available as well.



Rules


-We need at least 10 entries (and at least 15 votes for a winner) in order for this contest to go through.

-Deadline for turning in art will be NiGHTS' birthday, July 5th. That gives you a little over a month to get an entry done! Start planning your schedule around how much time you think you'll need!

-Logo should include the number 20, the NiGHTS name (logo font is win) and NiGHTS him/herself.

-Anniversary catch phrase optional.

-Either costume is fine, but please be tasteful and don't include nekkid NiGHTS, or NiGHTS slapping his/her butt or something silly like that.

-If you want to include other canon characters, that's fine too, but rules of tastefulness still apply, so don't have NiGHTS and Reala making out on the number 20 or anything. Not everyone is going to want that on a shirt.

-Images that do NOT come in first place MAY be edited in order to fit on the shirt. (For instance, if a person who does NOT win has designed a very elaborate 20th logo with 60 characters, it may be edited down to just include the basics for an entry, in order to conserve space on the shirt. Also, non winning art might be shrunk to fit.)

-For this contest only, NO fan characters - this is a celebration of NiGHTS birthday, not your characters' birthdays. If you want to do a duplicate version of your entry and include your own characters, we'd love to see it, but we won't be putting OCs on the birthday shirt design.

-No blood and guts, obviously. That goes with the whole being tasteful thing.

-Cake is good. Confetti is better. (But a pain to draw.)

-Voting will continue until the last day of July. Winner will be announced shortly thereafter.

-Try to work on an 8.5" x 11" canvas with 300 dpi, so that when it's put on a shirt the quality of the image doesn't suffer. If you're working on traditional media, try to keep your design on white paper so that it can be clipped to put on a shirt properly.

-WHERE POSSIBLE, please don't use a background. A clear background is preferred, but I understand not everyone can do that. If you must use a background, please make it white so it can be clipped out of the final shirt design.

-Submit your entry to the Contest folder in the group. A new blog entry with all of the participants will be posted after the cut-off date.

Edit: additional rule: Seems obvious, but, no official art please! By fans for fans, so just fan art.
