Free Plushie Patterns Online
Here's a collection of links to sites outside of DeviantArt where you can find free plushie patterns. There are well over two hundred choices, so you're sure to find something you like.
However, if you can't find exactly what you're looking for, try adapting one of the patterns. For example, a tiger can easily be turned into a lion, an elephant into a woolly mammoth, an elf into a goblin, or combine the upper half of a mermaid with the lower half of a pony to get a centaur.
Note: some pages may need to be translated or require sign-up to view free patterns.
Check out Pattern-Depot for stuffed toy and costume patterns here on DeviantArt.

They Say I'm Guilty
Of the nearly eighty female prisoners that had answered my request, I had narrowed my choices down to two of them.  The first was a voluptuous, porcelain-skinned brunette that would make my brother drool in seconds.  The second was a golden-haired, frail little piece of work, and normally I would have dismissed her during the first round of eliminations, but something kept her there.  Maybe it was the way she stared at me with her venomous green eyes, but I couldn't be sure.  In any case, I had my two choices set before me, each isolated in separate cells on opposite ends of the jail so that I might observe them more personally.
I turned to the prison guard.  "What can you tell me about this one?"  I was starting with the brunette.
"Number 67," he practically spat.  "Don't believe a word she tells you.  She's as good a liar as they come."
I wondered at what sort of lies she had told the guard because clearl

Fan Art Law

Fan Art Law
Mon Sep 10, 2012 by techgnotic
I
t seems there’s nothing quite as dear to the hearts of many of our deviants as their production of fan art, and at the same time, there is nothing so knotted with legal and ethical headaches. Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but in the form of fan art it has also become one of the most frustratingly complicated. At some point, the sheer volume of fan art around a single property may become so large that the issue rises to another level of scrutiny by the creators of the original work.
With this dynamic in mind, we thought the following panel that Josh Wattles, our Advisor In Chief here at deviantART, and a mystery guest named Harold Smith, gave at Comic Con this year might be of immense help in understanding the ever evolving elements of fan ar

Why I boycotted fandoms. by lostforeveragain

Clearly, I'm having too much fun with these.

  • Listening to: KiLLER LADY [Gumi] (NND: sm14705584)
  • Playing: Project Diva Extend
I've been having a ton of interesting conversations on dA and AIM and various forums lately, so let me recap:

YES, I am making custom DLC modules for the Project Diva 2nd and Project Diva Extend PSP games.

YES, I am spending hours upon hours making sure that I get these textures just right, as in, seamless.  I've been spending a lot of time and effort to make these modules of mine every bit as high-quality as the ones Sega made and have in the game already.  This is why I use Photoshop CS and about 40 layers for each body texture, to separate each UV'd area, shade it, highlight it, etc etc. (You think I'm joking?  Because I'm not.)  Therefore...

NO, you may not extract my textures to use in MMD or anywhere else, nor do I want you to ask me to do that for you.  You may not redistribute them, so don't re-upload my DLC files anywhere else (just point people to their download pages on my gallery, jeez.  No trading, no selling, no edits, you know the drill, people!  I put this sort of stuff in the readme files already, anyway.)  See, I have a philosophy:  If I'm going to post it, I'm going to make sure it's good enough that I won't mind having my name on it.  The logical extension of this is, if I post something good, I want my name on it.  If you're into Vocaloids and MMD as it is, you're probably already used to these sorts of terms.  It's common sense and respect!

YES, you may ask me for tips on doing your own textures, and help with them.  Just because I won't give you the PSD source files for the ones I've already done doesn't mean I'm a heartless bitch or something.  :(  I like seeing that others are improving.  I want to improve too.  I'd like to see more high quality custom DLC modules available!  You don't have Photoshop?  Then why not get Gimp?  It's free, and it's a lot like Photoshop; I'm sure it can do a fine job too.  I may even work with you on a module or two, offer some feedback... ask you for crits on my work-in-progress modules...?  You know, that sort of thing.  It'd be fun, don't you think?  :D  (I can't promise I'll have a lot of time for helping others, but it doesn't hurt to ask!)

YES, I am open to suggestions as to what characters to make next, especially if they're ones not already in the game (ie, a non-Crypton 'loid.  Costume ideas for Gakupo or Gumi?  VY1? You want to see an attempt at Yuzuki Yukari or IA?  Cool! I can't promise I'll do them, or even get to them right away if I do intend to work on them, but I'd like to hear what you're looking for!)  Keep in mind that all I currently have the ability to do is edit textures on the in-game character models, and not the models' physical geometry, though I can swap heads/hair and bodies, and assign them to different 'loids entirely, so while I can try for a look-alike, I probably won't be able to get them 100%.

NO, I'm not likely to work on making Miku some outfit or other.  Yes, I like Vocaloids, but I find Miku neither "KAWAII" nor "DESU".  Great for you if she's your thing, but she's not mine.  :)  Yes, I know that Project Diva is about like, 90% Miku-centric... why do you think I'm working so hard to put non-Crypton characters into the game like this?  ;)  You know you can use DLC modules in Edit games, right...?

YES, I like feedback on my DLC modules.  Please don't fave/download and run, leave me a comment!

So, thanks for understanding, and I hope everyone has fun!  :)

Would like to suggest Super Sonico for new custom DLC, there is already noise from their fans to make them into full fledged Vocaloids I think it could be done using Luka or Haku as a base for PDE and 2nd. Even if Crypton or some other company never responds to the calls for making them vocaloids it would be cool to see them at least as custom dlc.
They are heavily Fanserviced so there are lots of options for clothes, or lack thereof >.>

Just a suggestion as your Journal says they are welcome ^^.

Hmm... it might be doable, actually.  I could see using Luka's and Meiko's heads for those, and I bet someone has a body with a close-enough outfit....

I ought to finish up what I've got going first (and I keep getting caught up in other new projects, ack) but I may well revisit this.  This... could perhaps be doable!

In response to your journal, have you tried IA, or Lily? Would also like to convince someone to develop more Gumi Modules, all I see everywhere is MMD and great looking stuff from them but in the end those things are worthless to the game and frustrating to those of us looking for new things to play in game.

Haven't tried either of them yet; I've been busy with other projects.

Closest anyone can do to Gumi yet is to recolor one of the other 'loids to look closer to her, like I did with Rin's head on others' bodies when I made mine. I could probably do a few more outfits for that "Gumi" module later, though. It just takes a lot of time and effort, since I don't have (and can't get) the UV maps for the in-game modules.

I'm afraid you won't find any modules for PD games that actually look like Gumi ought to yet; while changing the textures and re-combining the modules as DLC has been figured out, last I heard, there's no way to import custom geometry. Perhaps in the future!

Or you could just go get Gumi's game. It's called "Megpoid the Music #" and is one of the reasons I haven't touched PD in a while. Whoops? :XD:

Haha don't feel bad I got a copy of Megpoid the Music after I found out about it, and have played through Easy mode completely but I was disappointed with some aspects of the game and lack of customization possibilities. I've found the Rin mutations i've seen to be unique and adequate for PD personally just a lack of clothing options. Also I didn't mention this vocaloid but I saw a figurine on ebay the other day for Nekomura Aroha? Hello Kitty version, i'm not sure if she's the one featured with speakers for hands but her hands were humanoid. She seems to resemble Rin as well save for neon pink hair.

I think a lot of people are getting sidetracked by other things like MMD which is a nuissance to those of us dedicated DLC hunters. Perhaps if Crypton had linked the other games to PD F and making them playable projector style through PDF things would be different. It's all very depressing. Also I read your other responses too so I won't reply to each one sorry for the message bombardment. Thank you for responding I love your work just wish there was more ^^.

Thank you sooooooooo much for the Gakupo model for PD2 and Extend! I use him all the time. I would love to see more outfits (any outfits! haha) for him in the future. If I could figure out how to do the outfits, I'd make some too, but I've got no clue! Keep up the good work!

Aww, thanks! It means a lot, knowing that people appreciate the work I put into it!

And not to worry, I've got a couple more outfit ideas! They're not his original hakama and haori over his bodysuit, like in his concept art, but they're at least in the spirit of it, I think. I really do like his style -- and he's one of my fave 'loids, ngl. So rest assured that he will get some more attention in the future!

Making (read: recoloring) outfits is actually quite simple. Doing it like I do it-- eh, it's up on my journal. Not sure if it takes me so long to release each character because I'm being perfectionist about it, or because I'm doing it inefficiently, but I like the results. TL;DR, I hope my DLC releases are well worth the wait. I don't like putting them up until I'm satisfied that they're as good as I can make them!

Also, once it becomes possible to modify the 3D models beyond altering their textures, keep an eye out. I fully intend to do a detail-accurate Original Gakupo model! (would it be teasing to admit I'm already mucking about in MilkShape with this goal in mind? I'm sure it's just a matter of time before someone figures out how to import new models correctly....)
