This is available for sale as an 8.5" x 11" art print or a beautiful 18" x 24" art print from our online store!
I've been fascinated by the big rose windows in cathedrals for ages, and thought I'd try my hand at a fantasy one... digitally, of course. I don't quite have the skill set to do this as an actual stained glass piece!
I tried to limit the color palette, to give the whole image a more unified look. Most of the old traditional stained glass windows seem to be quite heavy on the reds and yellows, so I steered away from those and focused more on the blues, purples, and greens, with hints of warmer colors. And figuring out how to make a black dragon look like glass was... interesting, to say the least!
This is related to an elven creation myth, and creatures which are in some way special to their culture.

Hi Sarrah! I just wanted to let you know that I've featured your work in a post called Dragons in Stained Glass by Various Artists on my dragon artwork blog (with proper attribution and links back, of course). I love this piece, and it was the perfect image to lead off the post! You can find me at Writing Dragons, and this feature here. Keep up the great work!
