I'm happy to introduce iamingrid
, my co-writer on
! Although the initial concept and characters were mine, I realized that I would need some professional help if I wanted to write a more realistic story. I'm good at writing bizarre and whimsical strangeness, like in SisterClaire
, but I have trouble with more serious (and logical) storylines.
That's where Ingrid comes in! She's not only an AMAZING writer, but she also knows a LOT about superheros- and she knows how to sift the good aspects of the genre from the tired clichees. I'm counting on her to make sure this series pleases superhero fans AND newcomers to the genre (such as myself.)
I first found her through the Avatar: The Last Airbender fandom, and we mutually admired each other's fanart/fanfic and soon became good friends. (She writes the most AMAZING TYZULA FANFIC. Sorry if you didn't want me to mention this, Ingrid, but IT'S TRUE.) At some point it clicked that I REALLY could use a good writer, and she'd mentioned her dream job of scripting for comics, so... you might say that FATE BROUGHT US TOGETHER. >8D
I am SO excited to have her on board, because her sensibility really balances out my, er... lack thereof. She's keeping the story on track and keeping ME from making it a little too weird. And she embodies the main character almost a little too well. Which is fine, because perhaps I embody Emily and Charlie a little too much. IT THE END IT ALL EVENS OUT!
I'm looking forward to getting the sample scripts from her soon. We will be releasing 4 teaser trailer comics prior to the launch of the actual comic. Each teaser will be 5 pages, and feature one of the main characters.
