Description
A piece I started about a year ago, left unfinished for ages, is finally finished enough to share 😆 I decided to finish it off this morning as a warmup!
This started as just a study of painting shiny horses, and changing a horse’s colour from the reference photo. Here I used a shiny black horse for reference to paint this beautiful buckskin Andalusian, one of my favourite horse breeds and colours! Coincidentally, this piece ended up just looking like Spirit fanart haha. Can’t complain, Spirit is one of my all time favourite films 💛

Gorgeous! I actually have a buckskin mare on my grandparents' farm that looks a lot like this, she's just slightly lighter in color, and I named her Spirit, after the same mustang.
