Now you can get the print and kindle versions on Amazon, or get a PDF through Itch. Keep in mind, this is the longest book so far. The first was only 150 pages. This is about 190. Naturally, I had to raise the price a bit. Just two dollars, though. But remember! If you want a signed copy, you can upgrade your Patreon tier to $50. https://www.patreon.com/NickAnderson

I went aaaallll out with this one. It's not the end of the series, more like a season 1 finale... But it is the end of some current arcs, the last book where the pirates are still the major threat to global stability. As for Minnow, she'll have to ask uncomfortable questions and reconcile things about herself, her trauma, and her world. Pulling no punches this time! Enjoy!

Yes, stranger than "Dank Themes." If you think you know where this one is going, trust me.... you do not.

Enjoy this conclusion to the Lego Rewind April Fools Trilogy! And remember, you can see videos like this a week or so early on my Patreon page. I have two more videos coming out this month. https://www.patreon.com/NickAnderson

It's time for a change... I've drawn a lot of things over the years, but some of you may've noticed commissions taking up more and more real estate in recent years, recent months especially. There are a few reasons for that, the biggest being that I moved into a 150-year-old farmhouse in November that needed a ton of renovations. Still does. You know the old thing about replacing every piece of a ship one at a time until you've effectively built an entire second ship in its place? That's what we had to do to this property, inside and out. And it's coming together beautifully now, but at a price.

The amount of commissions I'd normally spread out over a year, I took it all on in the couple of months to afford materials and such. And since then, I've taken on a few more commissions. I've had to take on new work faster than I can FINISH it. some customers are still waiting for their pieces months later.

This is unacceptable. I can't keep going at this pace, it's just not sustainable and people deserve better form me. Hence, Patreon. https://www.patreon.com/creator-home

This youtube video will explain everything.

At the time I made that video, I'd never monetized my youtube content. Since then, I have. And between that, my Patreon (which has had a pretty successful first few weeks since launch!) and sales from Amazon and Itch.io, these combined revenue streams are giving me wiggle room to slowly transition away from doing commissions to making comics like Planet Ripple and videos pretty regularly. I'm still chipping away at a backlog of commissions between the projects I've already done for patrons, and once they're all cleared up.... well, I won't say NO to commissions, but I won't need to do them as much. It'll just be something for now and then, you know? I'm really hoping this works out and I can grow projects like Planet Ripple even more.

I'm grateful to everyone who commissioned me. You all made this place possible, you helped me along. But I won't be doing it forever. I have other projects, some I still want to upload here for you guys like Nova Orbis, and this shift will hopefully free up more time and energy for that.

As for right now, if you want to support me on Patreon, I know it's a little late in the month but I've just uploaded a new Lego Rewind episode for Early Bird Patrons ($5+) a whopping 11 days before it goes live for everyone else. So if you just can't wait, well... there it is.

Thank you for your time, money and patience.

After chugging on for years, the scanner I've used for every piece of art from Planet Ripple to The Toa, it's no good. Just gave out.

I've tried a couple of apps that presumably turn your phone into a portable scanner, but they're crap. They don't pick up half the linework.

So, uh... I guess this means I can't work? Not until I can buy a new one. With commissions that still need to be drawn, and the last 80 or so pages of Planet Ripple volume 6 to go, this leaves me pretty damned screwed.

Shit. Guess this means I need to take on MORE commission work, work that I won't even be able to color with photoshop until a scanner gets here.

It's been a chaotic few months. Renovating, moving, smashing by tailbone slipping down the stairs like an idiot on DAY ONE and recovering from that these first few weeks... but I love it here. The new place is beautiful, and it's so nice to have all this privacy. No obnoxious neighbors hanging out in their driveway all day, revving their motorcycles or getting into spats with their not-so-significant others, cussing each other out at 1 in the morning just outside my window... it was kinda surreal at first, just how quiet it is around here. I'm a valley in the countryside, and the mornings are so pretty.

I've settled in now, though, so... it's time I got to the commissions I owe people. Most of the extra work I've taken on in recent months has gone towards fixing up the place, and well, now it's fixed up enough that I can take the time to do the work. I'm here to thank my customers for being so patient. It's been a rough time, this month especially, but... it had to be that way. Starting tomorrow through the next coupla weeks, you're going to see the bulk of commissions finished up, unless something else happens with the house that requires my attention for a bit. There's still a lot of work to do, I'll clear out as much as I can.
