Pretty crazy, huh?

I don't really have much to say about this chapter, come to think of it. I just hope people like how the Toa Novus' first battle went.

Over the next few days, I'm going to make something of a presentation for these new Toa, much like the material I uploaded before beginning the story. I'll explain what their masks do, what their Toa tools are, and all that stuff.

After that, I'm sorry to say I'll need to take a break before making any more of these. Yeah, I'm sorry, but I need to tend to other things for a while. But hey, we're about halfway through this first story arc, now. I'll get around to the rest of it in a few months. The second half of the "Mystery" arc will, as you can imagine, center around the new Toa as they master their abilities and learn more about their true enemies and what's become of the Toa that preceded them. I realize that as Matoran, not all of these characters were really that developed, but they'll develop quite a bit as Toa, if all goes well.

So, with all that in mind, how was the first half of "Year One?" What's your impression of this world and the people in it?

okay this story is fantastic so far,  found out about it through TTV, and have not finished watching it because Meso said "spoiler alert" so I decided to check this out. This is incredible, good job so far sir :D Ahkmou becoming a toa was unexpected

Well this is fantastic. I do wonder how Ahkmou and co. will react when the Turaga decide to just accept them as toa-heroes, or conversely what difficult yet ultimately pointless series of quests the Turaga will send them on to test their loyalty/courage/general worthiness, assuming that they don't just use this rogue guy and the defeat thereof as said test.

Who or what created the Nova stones?
What are these mysterious beings whom seem to hold complete control over the Turaga(aside from being terribly mysterious)?
Will we ever see the Toa-Miro again, and more importantly, will they end up being psycho-ranger versions of themselves the our heroes must fight?
Will they be able to top the property damage in their next fight?
For the answers to at least one of these questions, stay tuned for the continuing adventures of the Toa-Novus!

Wow, this is epic! I've really enjoyed this so far. Nova Orbis is a great way of continuing BIONICLE; the world and its characters and settings are intriguing, plus Ahkmou is written very well indeed. Whenabouts will the next part be?

Once the current volume of "The Devilman" is finished, I'll get right back to Nova Orbis.

This story is really well done, and captivating, even though I've never actually watched the Bionicles Series. I can't wait for the next half of Year 1!

Are they planning on fixing the temple? :P

"Watched"? Well, there's no TV show for it or whatever... I mean, yeah, there's a few old movies, but it was mostly yearly story serials, novels and online games.

as for the temple.... >shrugs<

Anyway, thanks.

Very interesting chocies for the masks for Uria and Silva...I would not have thought of them having those. (Come to think of it, though, has Silva been previously wearing the one Antroz had in the Jetrax set?) It also means that I could build kitbash (I think is the right word) versions of them. Sweet.

...Also that close-up of Silva is going to be the thing I wake up in the middle of the night and see at the foot of my bed. :scream:

Also, EVEN MORE intrigue on top of intrigue...Intrigue-ception (this plot's thickened so much that I expect that by the end, it'll completely block my vision. Admittedly reminds me of how complex the original series ended up getting, which isn't a bad thing)

Overall, I'm still really impressed by this story. Now I'm really REALLY looking forward to what's in store for these heroes.Clap
(I really seem to use the Citizen Kane clap A LOT when I comment on these)

I thought the Jutlin was frowned upon, but I guess that there are no Makuta around that give it a bad name any more.

This mysterious being the Turaga was speaking with intrigues me. For some reason I can't help but feel it's existed on Nova Orbis since before the Matoran/Agori first appeared there.

I think it's a great being

"Something is seriously wrong *with*"

But super awesome! Didn't see the Jutlin coming, isn't it an immoral mask power?
NickOnPlanetRipple's avatar
Immoral because a Makuta used it, you mean?
Orionide5's avatar
No, because its sole function is to cause destruction.

Oh.... well, I just thought it would be fitting for a "nature boy" to be able to whisk inorganic things away with a thought.

The action scene was great, a good balance of awesome and humour.

As for what I think of it so far, I love how you've put everything we need on the table already, while keeping some things in the dark.
