The light world will be the island of mata nui, and all the residents are either matoran, turaga, or common rahi.

The dark worlds will be things known as "wakenings" which are occasions where the GSR is partially conscious for a period of time: granting inanimate objects sentience.

The risk is that, according to the prophecies, when Mata Nui awakens, the Makuta (this series's replacement for titans) will awaken as the limbs of his body instead. Matoro is one of the few people to know this.

I will be going back to the roots of Makuta's character, making him a separate species from characters like Mutran and Chirox, making him a semi-conscious being who only understands destruction.

So every chapter's main villain will have their own reason for wanting to see the awakening.

Mutran is fiercely loyal to Makuta and wants to see him and the roaring Rahkshi take over.

Roodaka guessed that the awakening was an attempt to achieve world domination, so she goes through with trying to do that without realizing the full consequences of doing so.

Vezon craves affection as well as power, and he believes he'll be rewarded with that for going along with his deal with Takua. He is well aware of the sheer power of Av Matoran.

And the Toa Nuva's dream has always been to see Mata Nui's awakening, not entirely knowing what he is, but prepared to treat him with the same kindness the flowers showed Asgore. Tahu Nuva knows about the risk of Makuta awakening instead, but he's fully convinced he can stop Makuta single handedly, so he's not worried about the instability of the wakenings.

"The Angel" will be referred to as "The great being," to distinguish him from Mata Nui, as "great being" is a very versatile title which could apply to the actual great beings, Mata Nui, Makuta, Artakah/, or even just a powerful toa.
