Well, some of you may have noticed that I have not been very active around here. In fact, I have not been very active anywhere. A few weeks ago, I made the mistake of comparing my work to the work of other artists who are younger and more talented than me. It was not a good idea ... because I was feeling the worst of the worst. Completely discouraged, with no reason to continue. In the midst of this crisis of self-criticism, I ended up deleting my other Deviantart account, my old Instagram, and my Facebook account. Yeah, this was stupid.
Luckily, before making more idiocy, like giving up my comic book, I decided to take a break. To breathe a little. To watching new movies, reviewing old movies, taking care of my collection of Transformers G1 (I'm a fan of Autobots and Decepticons since 1996). In the meantime, I did my best to fulfill the commissions I had on my list.
To top it all off, I still had to get a mild flu and then it was my own PC that crashed, which made me spend a couple of days to fix it. Fortunately, I know enough to save the payment of a technician.
Now, I feel better. Willing to continue. But I'm going to need an upgrade. My Wacom Intuos4 is a veteran. With several years of use, it is no longer as versatile as before ... and has been experiencing frequent compatibility issues. So I decided to invest in bigger and better equipment ... but my research has shown me that a new Wacom is quite expensive, especially a touch screen. Fortunately, my research revealed a cheaper and equally good option: the touch screen tablets from Huion.
But although it costs half the value of a Wacom, a Huion tablet still has a high value... further counting the import fees that I will have to pay. Even so, I think it's worth it.
By my accounts, I'm going to need to do 10 commissions to raise the money needed for the new tablet. Then that's it. I am back here and willing to work, and for those who are interested, here is the link to my prices and conditions for new commisions:
