DeviantArtist Questionnaire
How long have you been on DeviantArt?
Been here for 5 years, closing in on 6 in just one month (September 12th!).
What does your username mean?
Literally nothing. My poor 8th grader mind could not come up with a username. I don't mind it too much though. (I do wish I synced it up with my FFN username. Cosmicgiraffe with a dash was available. Stupid me.)
Describe yourself in three words.
  Honest, loyal, workaholic
Are you left or right handed?
  I am right handed.
What was your first deviation?
Unfortunately I no longer have the file anywhere on deviantArt and the computer I used to make it is virus-infected beyond saving.  To describe it in short, it was messy MS Paint drawing of Kirby sleeping on top of Meta Knight's head.
Here's a deviation from the same ugly "MS Paint era":

What is your favourite type of art to create?

Tuesday Favourites 2.0
 hello one and all! Here’s a collection of some of my very favourite pieces from the past couple of days.
An extra big feature today as I’m not sure if I will be able to post this weekend – I will be in London with limited access to the internet taking part as a mentor and chair for the Debating Matters National Final at the British Library (
Make sure you show the artists some love if you loved the pieces as much as me!! :dalove:

Art All Around Us...
I know we often think of art being right in front of us as on our screens. But do we take a few minutes to look at the art that might be hidden amongst the things that are all classified as graffiti? Believe it or not, even :dalogo: has a place for such postings (well, pictures of them - though it could be interesting to see someone try to literally graffiti the site ;)). I hope you enjoy this small selection from the sub-categories of traditional art > street art > freehand graffiti.
Please be aware if you happen to traipse around in there that there is quite a bit which is mature and isn't hidden behind the filter. I know that's true for a lot of areas, but I felt I should give you a warning anyway.

A Pop Culture Interpretation of The Supernatural
Every culture around the world created gods and other mythical beings by mixing and matching fanged and taloned animal parts—e.g., enormous eagle heads on lions’ bodies—human beings have always seemed to need to believe there are powerful and usually quite vengeful supernatural beings lurking just beyond the candlelight.

Traditional Tuesdays #40
Welcome to edition 40 of Traditional Tuesdays. This week, like all  of the other weeks, I'll be featuring
fifteen works of art from the Traditional Gallery. Any more than that might and you might loss interest or it could cause your monitor to fail in an explosion of awesomeness.  I would feel guilty if that were to happen, so I'm keeping it at fifteen! The Traditional gallery is a vast storeroom of work that covers many mediums and genres. I've tried to show a good mix of artwork, but I don't have room for them all. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
**WARNING:Viewing these works of art may cause giddiness, elevated heart rates, and
happiness in the pants(which could lead to blindness)! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!**
