Some things that I run across obviously have some story associated with them, but there's no real way to find 'em out. The provenience of this head sculpture, lurking about the campus of the Community College of Baltimore County in Essex, is unclear. Did one artist sculpt it as well as several companions kicking around in the same area, or were they the works of multiple artists? Was it a self-portrait, done from a picture, model, or simply the imagination? Why was it just sitting out where anybody could take or damage it? Is this actually how it was intended to be displayed? Was it left in its location as a threat to the person it depicts by a serial killer? Should I just stop asking questions when it gets fanciful enough to encompass serial killers?
