The Bat-Man - his face daubed a ghastly white, clad in a supple but tough leather, his cape lined with a steely mesh.

NO long cape to catch in doorways or to allow combatants to pull him off balance.

I would have added blood-red smears around his lips but then he looks just too much like the Joker.
