StH: Rotor the Green Lantern? by NicGiraffe StH: Rotor the Green Lantern? by NicGiraffe
An idea I've had for a Sonic fan-fic. I'm of the mind that Rotor wouldn't make a bad Green Lantern. :D

I plan on doing more sketches in this vein; I just need to learn how to draw more complicated constructs then just forcefields and laser beams.

This is wonderfully unexpected and it's well drawn to boot. Awesome!
Rotor is such a great character.

Thank you very much! Rotor is great, and he's one of my favorite characters. I definitely plan on drawing more of him.

If Rotor does join the Lantern Corps. he would be the fourth anthro(after Kilawog[who looks like a pig], Ch';p, and Gnort)to do so.

Yeah. I could see the logic behind this quite well. I mean, the Justice League has done time/space/dimension travel many times adventures before, so it actually makes DOUBLE sense to have a Sonic/DC Comics crossover.

And, oddly enough, I can't help getting images of Bunnie as Mobius's answer to Wonder Woman (she at least has Wonder Woman's two main super-powers [flight and super-strength {well, the former in the comics at any rate}] covered and her telescoping cyber-limbs could also reference the lasso to some degree). :-D Not to mention the thought of Flash humiliating Sonic in a race is just too good for my imagination to pass up (light speed against just over the speed of sound, after all). :-D

Sorry. Didn't mean to get off on a tangent there. I couldn't help myself.

Whoa, I never thought about that before, but Bunnie and Wonder Woman do share some similarities, especially in the power department.

I wasn't sure about including some of the Leaguers in the story, tho I definitely was going to have the Guardians as well as some of the Green Lantern Corps members like Killowag and Kyle Rayner show up (as well as a Green Lantern villain or two...), but I'll certainly give the idea some thought, especially since I really like the idea of the Flash and Sonic having a race (poor Sonic, lol). Also, I was going to go with the DCAU-versions of the DC characters, since I'm more familiar with them then the comics.

And don't worry about it. :P

How did you come up with the idea?

I was just thinking of stuff that could be crossed over or fused with Sonic and not be too weird, and Green Lantern was one of the ideas. I figured that Mobius could use a GL. Rotor struck me as an ideal choice because I think he's pretty creative, and the idea of him creating giant guns and other crazy tech with his ring strikes me as pretty cool.
