I'm updating my policy on commissions. Up to this point I've been happy accepting payment for work after the work is done.  By and large I've had no issues with the people who have commissioned me for art, but recently I had been hired by someone for a sizable amount of work.  Then after quite a bit had been done and approved, they cancelled the commission without payment of the work I had done.  They had not taken delivery of any images, but even so, my time and effort is valuable.  Other commissioners, if you want to know to whom I'm referring, to protect your own efforts, feel free to message me.

Going forward, if it is our first time working together, I will require payment for work in advance.  For larger commissions, half of the quoted price with the remainder to be paid upon completion.  For those I have worked with before, nothing will change.  We've earned each other's trust and I am happy to continue as before, being paid after the work is done and the images are ready for delivery.  I prefer to trust people, so I'm sorry I have to do this.  To anyone new wishing to hire my services, feel free to contact anyone I mention in my Commissions gallery.  I let my actions speak for me, and they can tell you if I am worth paying up front better than I can.  Thank you all.
