AAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH.

I AM REAAAALY SICK OF GIMP CRASHING OHMYGOSH.

*ahem*. Anyway.

This has been happening a lot lately, and it's just getting annoying. Everytime i *just* finish doing a section of a drawing it just crashes and I lose all my progress. Is this happening to anyone else, and anyone know how to make it crash less? I mean I realize programs crash often but this is just insane... it's literally shutting down every five minutes or so. ;-;

try upping the settings of performance in the preferences dialog, found towards the bottom of the edit menu. For example, mine is set at 40 for max undos, max udo memory 20 gb, max new image 10 gb, and tile cache 10gb, thumbnail of 256 mb., that should help but if you are running 2.8, you need to go and get the last version which fixes a constant crashing problem, especially when expanding image size. Too many brushes, scripts, plugins, etc can do this too, but not nearly as bad as installing a add-on that conflicts with ur version (i.e. such as a 2.4 script in 2.8.... )some work, some dont, and some crash the whole program at irregular but constant intervals

Aah, I do, that sounds like it could be the cause.
