Brutal honesty, I choose YOU! Hate is a bit of a strong word, but I am severely disliking DA right about now.  The way they've changed the messagebox to 'stacks' that you have to repetitively click through in order to do anything meaningful is, in a word, ridiculous.  In a sentence, it is an unintuitive, cluttered piece of garbage system that seriously turns me off from this site.  Then there's the social aspect.  Most of the people I know and came here for have left in one way or another.  Sure, there are some cool artists I still follow, but beyond that there's very little keeping me here. After some deliberation I have decided to edit/rewrite the first three chapters.  There are a few character/dialogue/pacing issues I'd like to go back and address, but most of my reasoning is length.  At a combined total of 18,251 words total, the first three chapters are just too gorram long.  My unofficial goal is to cut that in half (if not more) without sacrificing any plot or story development. Another problem I'm having is getting a good base of readers.  Or at least, it might be a problem.  I have no real idea, I hear very little feedback on anything.  I'm hoping at least part of that will be solved by cutting down the length.  Possib

Anyway, Chapter 3 has been posted.  I have two more chapters to plot out and I'll be done with Book 1.  The plot for Book 2 is a bit more vague in my mind, but it'll take about a year to get there.  Plenty of time! Also, in order to add a bit more character (no pun intended) to the story, I've got some commissions going.  :3 On with the show!
