I've done this many times. Sometimes players come up with interesting ideas during game sessions.

At such moments my GM usually gave 5 EXP as credit.
Made sure Players wrote their Questbook and Diary.
Remembers me about the player whose dwarf took a shit in a dungeon (in a different room) got RP-Exp and levelled up...
Aaaah, good times, good times.

God dang this srrikes close to home. I have had plot twists i thought were badass and some guy would be like "man just imagine if blah de blah was ACTUALLY just stringing us along for an ambush by the blahs. But our awesome DM has a much better idea than that I'm sure. Right John?"
*me crying on the inside* "Oh yeah, MUCH better

Haha, that's the great thing about tabletop rpgs. Things happen in real time and DMs can quickly adapt if an interesting idea pops out of nowhere from a player.

Oh this reminds me of certain types of players, if you take suggestions!

Such as the ones who are obsessed with the idea of having a pet dragon and won't be quiet about it haha, and once they get one they rub it in everyone's faces and such - or the players who are obsessed with having a pet in general. One time a guy wanted a pet wolf so he refused to attack a pack of wolves that were attacking us and they killed someone...

Our old tabletop group used to be so apt to speculate (loudly) about what we were going to fight, our GM once put together a dungeon crawl with no encounters. Every time we'd start to speculate about what we were going to fight behind the next door, he'd just pick the most devious idea mentioned and install it. We made it about half way through before we figured out what was going on. It was brutal.

Hehe be careful, DM's always listen to interesting ideas and meld them into the sessions :)

ahhh, the clasical "...roll with it" scenario, yeah that thing doesn't limits to RPGs but i'll be dammed if it hasn't helped making me look smarter than i was a few times lol xD
