Most people, who saw this picture before didn't believe me because of the light from the bottom, that the way you see it now is the right position.
It's a shot in a temple in Kumbalghar/India and there you will also see a wall of 64 km lenght (2nd largest wall in the world).

wow that's amazing, assuming you were on a second story looking down into an open courtyardish area. the way the rocks reflect light makes it easy to see why they chose it for building a temple.

as I said I made this photo inside an indian temple. it was a very sunny day and I just went up some stairs inside the temple-walls but outside of the temple-room. up there it was very dark and because of the architecture (light sandstone) and the afternoon-sun directly coming down there, it created a very high light/dark contrast. so I had to make the exposure long enough to get something from the dark inside - the light then is a bit more bright than it was originally.
