Old Wreck by Neutron2K Old Wreck by Neutron2K
I decided to force myself out around my new local area. I moved back in November 2016 from The New Forest to an urban area some miles away. Bit of a dramatic change in scenery. I haven't done any real landscape work for years, instead focusing on wildlife photography. This is something different for me. When I do landscape I prefer natural scenes without any human intervention in it such as buildings etc.

This was taken on the River Hamble in Southampton. An old washed up anchor (I think), lies in the mud at low tow. I liked the way this thing pointed directly at an old shipwreck further along.

I never knew fantastic shots like this could be achieved in a place like Southampton. I've lived there all my life so very well done! :D

Yeah its not very photogenic is it? There are nice spots, (part of the New Forest counts as Southampton), but mostly the urban areas are junk lol.

Thanks for the kind words - please feel free to like/share my facebook page if you're on Facebook :)

Not at all haha. I do struggle finding places that's decent enough to do some photography! I live in a rough area so I'm not near any of the rivers and forests etc.. New Forest I find is the best place by far!

I think I have liked your FB page actually when I started watching you haha :)

What area would that be? I grew up in Millbrook till I was 16. Am near Bursledon now.

Soon as you said rough I figured was probably Millbrook. Only thing in Bursledon is a windmill and a massive carboot sale on sundays.
