Description
A gift I made for a friend
An elephant charm, for remembrance of our times together. A flower, for life and vitality. A fish, for luck and prosperity. And a coin, for wealth.
This was made with charms that are traditionally given as favors in Filipino weddings (the flower and the elephant), although I prescribed the symbolic meanings to them. They are some sort of gold; I'm not sure since I got them from my grandmother, and I really don't know what kind of gold she has. Heck, I'm not really sure at all what sorts of jewelry she has...
The little green chips are peridot, the birthstone of August (my birthmonth ). Peridot is said to be an all-around "good for you" stone , bringing a sense of warmth (its olive/yellow tones; not physical warmth), money, and spiritual/physical growth (the green).
The little tan chips with golden flecks are goldstone. This is actually glass with flecks of copper in it, and it is said to be useful for energizing.
The pearls symbolize change (from a grain of sand to a natural gem) and purity (hidden from the world by an oyster's shell).
The red beads are agate, which is said to be a grounding and strengthening stone, both physically and mentally.
I'm not sure what the green, yellow, or orange round beads are (again, something from my grandmother XD), but I thought they fit with the design .
Anyway, I don't really believe in all that New-Age-y stuff, but I do like the sentiment behind it~!
I hope it fits her, and that she likes the design as much as I do
(P.S.: Similar bracelets available for commission, under certain conditions - see note under copyright thing. Note me.)
Design (C) M. Scanlon
Please don't steal the design . I made it as a gift, and would rather not see it being duplicated for something other than its original purpose of expressing affection (e.x., being made merely for vanity's sake/because it's pretty).

The elephant and fish are so stunningly detailed. Also, you have a great eye for color.
