How else could he wait around 20 years or so to become the Prime Evil?

Youngest brother and eldest together, playing something like Destroy All Angels with D3 mechanics?

He is indeed xD until he decides it would be interesting to see even his own "family" fight each other.

Meph is my favorite for sure. I still don't know why.

Haha, yes !
I totally understand, he is the best. He still is the "grandfather" of all humans haha !
I'm just sad that he's not really "exploit" (sorry for my translation, I guess you see what I mean) in books or games. At least, we had him in HotS.

Damn it, I still can talk about Diablo for hours.

Yes, if you want to get technical, he would be considered the grandfather of all the nephalem. Laugh
He's mentioned a bit in many of the books, and only got the most attention in Diablo 2. His son however is the main antagonist in Birthright, so at least there's that, and if I remember correctly, Meph does appear for a moment in one part to talk about the truce with the High Heavens over whether the nephalem should be aloud to exist or not. He decided that they should, just to see which direction they'd follow (evil or good,) so perhaps that is why he is my favorite. I like the thinkers and strategists, because I am one myself.

I don't care what people say about his looks in HotS, I think it's a great update from how he looked in D2. I just pray that we get his D3 concept look for a skin, where he looks so detailed and majestic (and has bright teal eyes.) xD Maybe we will see him in any of the upcoming Diablo projects, he needs more attention.

Yeah, totally. For the "big bro", the strategist of the three, he deserves more than just appears in his prison. Like ... Baal had his own extension, even Belial (booooh) and Azmodan seem to have more attention in D3. They are important in the story but ...
I really have to finish this trilogy, those are the only books I didn't finish to read, what a shame. Also, the look of Lucion is really great too !

But I agree with you, I hope the same, like they did for Diablo.
Btw, what do you think about Auriel ? It was obviously expected that she had a relation with Meph, but I heard that this fact was refuted not long ago.

Even my english is not really good, I enjoy to talk about that with another fan (I guess you are).

It's great to discuss this stuff with another fan. :D I don't know too many people who are into the lore like I am. Your english is fine too. :>

I love the idea of at least something between Meph and Auriel, possibly back towards the beginning of it all. I love her demonic/Lord of Hatred skin in HotS. But in the books, he supposedly had something called the Blood Marble (or the Kiss of Mephisto,) which was used to create the Morlu. Originally, we think it was meant for Auriel (as not even his kids would say who it was for.) I mean, he even winks at her. xD Kinda strange, but even if they changed the idea, I still ship it. I don't think anyone has confirmed whether it is true or not, there just isn't enough to go by--still too many secrets. In HotS, some of his voice lines towards her put emphasis on her name as he speaks it, and as if he definitely doesn't want to get rid of her. Corrupt her, sure, but not destroy her. He even says that without her, there'd be nothing to really fight over in a sense.

One thing I know for sure that we don't have the answer to is... how did Meph even obtain children? None of the other evils have any as far as I know, except Diablo, but hmm he had to possess Aidan and get with Adria. And obviously Lilith is the mother of the nephalem, soooo, how was she created?.... Like... did Meph get a hold of the Worldstone and create them? During the early times, Heaven and Hell fought over the Worldstone, many times it kept going from one side to the other until Heaven built the Pandemonium fortress around it. Too many secrets to be answered! D:

D3 needed to focus on the remaining two lesser evils I think. The events in D2 made sure that the prime evils were absent for D3 until of course, Diablo became the Prime Evil. The first two games, we had no clue what the other evils were like, except for Andariel and Duriel. To be honest, Azmodan and Belial are pretty laughable, but I still love them for their personalities/character.

I think Baal got his own expansion because he wasn't included in the base game. I think. He's pretty cool and freaky. But like you said, Meph does deserve more than just being stuck in a prison and slowly corrupting the guards until a hero comes along to ruin everything. Eh...

I also wish they would have done something with Lucion. Ever since what they did to the poor thing in Birthright, I don't think it's possible and he's just that character that not even fans might care about. I don't know if you visited my page or not, but I joke about it here: nethernezumi.tumblr.com/post/1…

Thanks! xD I love thinking of Diablo as that little grumpy and growly boy/youngest sibling.
