1 Year Clean of Self-Harm!

So as of November, 5th, 2014 - I am officially 1 year clean! I haven't harmed myself for a whole year! I couldn't have done it without God and the strength that He gives me every day! 
It definitely hasn't been easy, but trust me when I say, it does get easier over time. I seriously can't believe I made it this far!
It's crazy!

1 year ago, I was going through so much, and I was so confused - as I was just beginning my faith in God - and the last time I self-harmed was November, 5th, 2013 - I was desperate, and so I walked over to the mall, and locked myself in a washroom stall. I had my blades ready and everything - but I was torn between actually cutting and asking for help. So I was texting my mentor Julianna, and I was crying, and I didn't know what to do. I did end up burning myself instead. -This was 1 year ago!! 

Now I had my difficult times. But with Jesus, I overcame them! Urges were strong in the first few months. In my opinion, the first 3 months were probably the hardest - after that, it gets easier. 
Another thing I found that made it easier for me was getting rid of everything I had used to harm myself. Those blades are somewhere at the bottom of a lake. Never to be used again!! Hallelujah!!! I did that after the 1st month clean.

I know now that if I can make it 1 year clean, so can you!!
