Hey my name is Skyler and I'm trying to spread the word about my art I'm new so I kind of need some advice if possible please! Thank you and add me as friends!
You can be amazed in how people can choose to view it in a completely different way than to how you do. Which is true people can look at this image and think, oh look at that sexy thing. Or maybe someone can say I think I'm inspired to lose weight. Or even I would like to find someone like that. Or think "dear god look at that woman... how dare she look sexier than me, is that want men want? Men should see the beauty in women from the inside, not the superficial beauty-is-only-skin-deep outer shell of a women." Or like you thought, I don't really see any point in this except for her to be a sex object.
You will also notice that your point of view, though valid in every way, is only one way to look at this image.
If you lived a different life, or experienced life in another point of view, maybe you would have found that you would enjoy this image and only see a beautiful woman.
I'm an artist and I have been to many life drawing classes and not once did have the thought or the desire to have sex with the models that I found attractive. I would think, "oh she's pretty, good incentive for drawing." Otherwise it would end there and all I'd do is draw.
If you see her as a sex object, maybe you should analyse why you feel that way. Were you offended by the model, or just the image? Are you of a religious belief that sexy women are automatically considerable to sex objects? and I don't even get that way of thinking, sex is very normal and wonderful.
At what point of time in humanity did sex become a subject of taboo. Somewhere on this planet in many places sex is happening right now as I'm typing this message, and the world hasn't exploded. And when I said sex is happening right now, did you think that it was humans I was talking about, I'm talking about life in general, insects, fish, birds, mammals and micro-organisms.
See how I had so much to say from the one little sentence you had? I constantly reflect on the world and how I visualise it and imagine it in the point of views of others. I am not in any way harrassing you because I thought your comment was bad, but more on a thought that occured to me when I read it. Which started with a single and unfortunate word called, "Why?"
You found that thought in your head, and now typed it in a comment and now whoever reads it will have the thought floating in their head too. Isn't that wonderful what an image can do. I think it's amazing.
That's all from me... walking away from keyboard... LoL
LoL Your comment amuses me too, I'm unsure whether you are complimenting me, or insulting me. HAHAHA
I don't normally have crap loads to say, only when someone had something I felt compelled to reply to. I was just bored that time and I was taking a break from drawing.
