Lullaby for a Princess

You do deserve to feel proud of this artwork, the originality and balance of this piece is beautiful. I love it how both Princess Luna's and Celestia's expressions are are both solum and thoughtful. It is a very symbolic drawing, and the artist's choice to place either of the Princess's cutie marks on the oppose position reflects their intrinsic connection. It's such a beautiful concept and, the actual body's of the ponies are drawn in proportion and with swift detail.

Luna's mane is by far my favourite part of this piece. The artist has been able to actually draw her hair with a sense of depth, giving the illusion of movement, as thought her mane is a whole galaxy within itself. The light that shines from the left of her face helps define the shape of her hair. The jawlines of each pony are strong, and defined - yet the shading is soft and makes their fur appear gentle and smooth. The choice that the artist has made to draw Celestia's eye closed and Luna's eye open feels very profound. It subverts how we usually see them, putting Luna in the position of knowledge and power, over Celestia's emotional sigh.
