everything else made by me.

Maya 6.5 for a uni assignment. Now it's back to good old max :boogie:

EDIT (6/1/07):
a friend found this and sent me: [link]
look for '3D Living Room Layout'. Apparently some nice person decided to rip me off so they can make money :-)

The accuracy is AMAZING!!!! Down to the last detail(aside from the duct tape on Martin's chair lol) it looks like you've thought of everything!

Excellent. I'm in awe, man.

Just missing the black leather chair and stool, which should be (at this angle) just left of the pillar (no worries, it's hard to notice). In the rare occassions Martin's chair isn't there, that chair replaces it (watch the pilot and "Dial M for Martin," it shows up there).

To paraphrase Niles: "What's better than a perfectly rendered apartment? A perfectly rendered apartment with one flaw that we can pick at all night."
Or maybe Frasier said that but it seems very Niles-ish.
I'm jealous of your skills, man.

Dude... that's amazing! Such a talent you have; a level I'm trying to achieve.
Great show, and an excellent apartment to choose. One thing... why did you put that chair in? XD Lol. Just teasing.
But again, awesome details, simply astonishing!

Wow. Simply amazing. What programs did you use? I'm just starting 3D modelling and i hope to make a render like that someday.

I love the shine off the table.

thx!
I'm usually a 3ds max person, but I used maya for this one because it was for a uni subject. textures were done in photoshop, all based on photos I took. the carpet for example is just a tiled picture of a doormat, the parquet is made from several photos of wooden fences, kitchen counters, and floors. the fireplace I think was made from a picture of a sidewalk.

the shine on the table is actually just a simple effect in maya - you can make objects glow. I applied it to all the glass stuff to make it look a little dusty.

if you need any help with 3d, don't be afraid to ask :-)
