I have to color this sooner or later! =D But this is my interpretation of what an underwater forest (and castle) would look like. I referenced all different tips of coral, anemones and sponges. Even the palace in the back is completely made of different kinds of brain and staghorn coral based on gothic architecture.

This is an animation 3 pan layout, and the characters (all the mermaids, fish, etc) were drawn on tracing paper and were overlayed later. I will upload the environment by its

Thank you! I just have to watch and make sure I don't overwork the details (but I love them so!) And I used to do a lot of diving, and wanted to be a marine biologist, so this image only lended to my interest. =3

This was when I learned how ridiculously hardcore you are. Color it right now!

My one critique would be the windows. Everything else is so organic, their grids don't quite fit. And you kinda wonder where they got all that glass.

XDDD I really do need to color it, it would probably be a good portfolio piece.

And you're right about the windows! I'll remedy that in the coloring - and my theory for the amber glass is that it is actually amber that it is so thin it looks like glass. XD They mine from a crevice a little way from the palace.

Will there be bugs or anything trapped in the panes of glass?

Thank you! XDD And of course. What other class tells you to develop and 3 pan environment with 20 characters? =D I have well over a hundred! There's school of fish in the background - I totally cheated!

^_^ Ah, the convenience of little creatures that are simple to draw so that you can draw a lot of them.

Great way to use the Lyle method. XDD How's your summer going?
