'Twas a smashing evening of November
Moreover, 'twas a night to remember
For on the stage there played The Salamanders,
World's greatest band. Known for songs of candors
And truths. Their music stood as evidence
That art could change lives and have eminence
Over the fickle matters in one's life,
So that people could endure without strife.
However, at this concert no one cared
For the meanings of songs. Even less dared
To believe what the singer had to say.
The one concern was how the band would play.
With the guitarist's volume, the crowd moved.
To the bass player's sound, the girls' hips grooved.
