SUMMARY
My mom always tells the story of how I was born with a baseball cap on my head and a pencil in my hand. Since then, I have studied many different forms of art and have worked towards developing my skills in both classic and digital forms of visual art. I am Ambitious, dedicated, a problem solver and good under deadline pressure. I like working with people and am always ready to learn and try something new. I can’t see what the future holds for me but I know that creating art is not just something that I do but is who I am and what I am passionate about. Thank you.

Artist Statement update:

Otaku: A Japanese term sometimes used pejoratively to refer to people with obsessive hobbies, most commonly referring to manga or anime.

For as long as I can remember I have been creating art, Drawings, paintings, watercolors, color pencils, sculptures, etc, you name it I did it. When I created art people would tell me I had talent, that I was a great artist, and that I amazed them. Unfortunately I never felt the same. I loved creating art but I was never satisfied with what I was doing. I realized that I was being lost in the process, and that I needed to find a style and inspiration that made me happy before everyone else. It wasn't until a good friend introduced me to my first Anime that I realized what kind of art I really wanted to create and be inspired by. The name of the Anime was Gundam Wing, which was based on five young pilots and their legendary giant robots called Gundams.
Studying this style has taken several years and thousands of hours watching anime and playing video games of all different genres. It was only during my last two years of college that I finally felt comfortable in bringing my art out into the public. It has been difficult to find my place within the art world, as well as finding a way for others to recognize my art as important. It has been an interesting and exciting struggle and journey, which has helped to solidify my love for anime and games.
The term Otaku is a self-proclaimed title but one that I feel fits me perfectly. I'm not really sure what draws my to the mechanical side of the anime world but It is something that excites, inspires and informs my work. For me, this type of art is something that I search for, something I want to see, oil paintings, photography, and prints of original anime and gameing based art. So I hope by me doing something that I love and am excited about, that ill give someone else the enthusiasm of creating and sharing something that they are also proud of.

Welcome to my deviant art page.

First off (and sorry if this is a little late.) I want to say thanks to everyone who has stopped by and looked at my art. 1,000 hits doesn't seem like a lot  but to me its a big deal and I appreciate it. As for new art I will try to continue to put out as much as possible when possible. Anyways, thanks again.

I finally finished my website. The name of the site is tahoeanime.com, and the plan for the site is to create a local network for anime fans and artists in the Tahoe area in order to gain and share info about the anime culture. I plan to use the deviant art site as my main gallery for all my art so I can do my part in helping the art community grow. I am hoping to post more of my art work and gallery pics as soon as I have time. here is the link to the site I hope you enjoy it [link] Other than that I just finished my second kids book  which should be printed by june.

Thanks to everyone who has add my art to their favs and to those of you who have commented on my work, it helps motivate me to keep going.

I am finally done, the days of waking up early driving to class and sitting in a chair staring at a chalk board for hour on end, are over. Thanks to all my friends at ucdavis, and dont worry for those of you who are still there, I still have my key to the building so I will be visiting every once and a while.

For the update on my art, I have posted all my work from my intaglio print making class which was really fun. If you haven't checked it out already please do and let me know what you think. As for more drawings and digital images, I am working on several projects, but working five days a week from 7am-4pm has taken a toll on my energy levels leaving only the weekends to do any art. As soon as I have some finished projects or maybe even some sketches I will post them.

Thanks to everyone who has add my art to their favs and to those of you who have commented on my work, it helps motivate me to keep going.

well ive started to many projects and none of them seem to be getting done very fast. I want to post new art but i have this weird need to have them all 100% done before I post any of them. Anyways I was thinking about offering my mech and weapon drawing skills to anyone who might want a custom mech or weapon drawn. Im not sure if im going to do it or not yet but if people like the idea than maybe, so let me know what you think. The only other thing I have to mention is my upcoming art show that I am getting excited about. I get a whole week to display all the art work that i have done while in college. Other than that nothing else really going on.

For as long as I can remember I have been creating art, whether it was drawing, painting, water color, color pencils, sculpture, etc. When I created art people would tell me I had talent, that I was a good artist, and that I amazed them. Unfortunately I never felt the same because I was never satisfied with what I was doing. I had the ability to work just like any other artist and create good looking works that fit into everyone else's definition of art, but I always felt that I was just creating art for others and that I was being lost in the process. It wasn't until a good friend introduced me to my first Anime that I found what I was missing in my work. The name of the Anime was Gundam Wing, and if you know what that is then you understand where my kind of art comes from. Anime opened me to a whole new world of expressing myself through its style of art. It has taken years and thousands of hours watching all kinds of anime and studying them for me to finally feel comfortable in bringing it out in my public artwork. It has been difficult to find my place within the art world, as well as finding a way for others to not only understand it but accept it as well. For me this type of art is something that I search for, something I want to see, oil paintings, photography, and prints of original anime based art. Ok, things are back to normal now and im working on several projects. I am working on revamping some of the characters from the story I am trying to write and as soon as I get them done I will post them as well as the originals. I am also working on two big projects in the litho studio. I am working with a stone that is bigger than 20"x30" so my prints are going to be pretty big. Im not sure how im going to get them onto the computer but I will figure out a way. Anyways other than that I will be having a show put up of all my work from school some time during spring quarter, so im pretty excited about that, and that I will be graduating as well. Anyways thanks for checking out my page, if you have comments or questions send me a message.

For as long as I can remember I have been doing art, whether it was drawing, painting, water color, color pencils, sculpture, etc. When I did art people would tell me I had talent, that I was a good artist, and that I amazed them. Unfortunately I never felt the same because I was never satisfied with what I was doing. I had the ability to work just like any other artist and create good looking works that fit into everyone else's definition of art, but I always felt that I was just creating art just for others and that I was being lost in the process. It has been difficult to find my place within this art form, as well as finding a way for others to not only understand it but accept it as well. For me this type of art is something that I search for, I want to see oil paintings, photography, and prints of original anime based art. So I hope by me doing something that I love and am excited about, that ill give someone else the excitement of creating and sharing something themselves no matter what form, shape, or style it is in.

Wow I am so happy for Xmas break! I'm looking around and thinking about all the art projects I want to do, and i'm afraid that I just don't know where to start. Thanks to everyone who have commented on my work or left me a general comment and don't be afraid to give me some constructive comments as well.
