Starfall scuffed the dirt with a nervous back hoof. She had joined those who had mastery over fire in some way or the other - most of them were Classique mages. They were stationed in a long, unbroken row back to where Ignis and Caeli had gone to parley with Fulmen. She herself stood amongst sparse settlements and fields, Corne D’Or glimmering behind her.  Spread so far, Starfall could only make out distant silhouettes vanishing into the distant dark, occasionally interspersed with the flickering shapes of Ignis’ flame warriors. The air crackled with lightning waiting to come down. Or perhaps just tense anticipation.  A window of the hut next to her creaked in a low gust of wind, hanging dangerously loose in its frame. The fence surrounding the hut looked as if it was ready to break down at any moment. There wasn’t any other sound after that, except for the distant rumblings in the clouds.
