Storm And White Flowers

The ruins of Armadale castle, Scotland. The ruins themselves and it's view are gorgeous, unfortunately we were there at a very boring moment light-wise... So I edited this image heavily in contrast and colours (hence the category). It was quite a lot of fun to do though :)

:boing: :boing: :boing:

Location: Scotland.

My photos are NOT stock. This means I do not want them to be used in any way. I don't mind them being used as a reference for a drawing/painting though: please visit this link for the rules…

Headily atmospheric work, and definite proof that editing, when used wisely, can give birth to very affecting art, far away from glossy commercial photography. In this instance, the blood-like reds of the encroaching foliage against the solid grey of stone and sky make a very vivid impression, permeating the image with the quality of a haunting (haunted ?) dream, or of an achingly beautiful nightmare.
Anyone can take pictures, many can edit them, some can craft gorgeous edited (or not) pictures making idle viewers stop in their browsing, but your creations remain in the memory long after the next click : there is perhaps no higher badge of honour in the time and age we live in.

Beautiful. old locations like this would make for great filming locations in basing ancient horror movies on. Kind of like the location of a fallen hero who comes and frequents this area, waiting for his love to return to him despite how long it's been. Well done.
