It’s odd how much I feel I belong here. A residual memory, perhaps. Perhaps my mom’s experiences somehow filtered down, infused my placenta, softly nudged her war memories into me. For when I first came to this school, shattered, a dazed shell of a girl, with only my sparrows able to talk to me, I amazingly felt rightful here. A place for warlocks and witches. A place where my mom remembered she was seen, where she was a teen who belonged. [EMOTE] A place where I can dare. A place where I can be me. And yet there are dragons and wyverns here, waiting to catch 15-year-old me. Younger me has outraced a dragon and a wyvern. They were powerful beasts, keen and fast, but my broom was faster.
