I like planes, though sitting still for so long can be a total pain.

yes, I agree, with seats getting so small, it does get hard to sit still so long. x-x

well, it's not that - I'm relatively thin so I fit in the seat - but I'm used to moving my legs a lot and doing something with my hands. I can't move my legs in a plane and doing something with my hands is a little difficult.

Ehh, it's just like being in a car. I don't care for it much.

I've ridden in lots of planes before and I really love flying!! I think its incredible that people have found a way to create airplanes, and the take off/landing is so exhilarating and such a unique experience c:

Honestly taking off is really the only heart-pumping part for me. The rest is pretty mellow.

I don't get how people like flying. I absolutely despise it >-> Somebody always has to vomit on me and it's all about coughing, sick people, and crying babies.

I've been on too many plane rides to count, I used to be fine with it but now I get this nagging feeling every time I fly that THIS flight is going to be my last. :')

It's gotten better over the years, but I'm still a nervous flier. It can be pretty cool, the sights are spectacular but I'm always glad to have my feet back on solid ground once again.

I have ridden on LONG flights (15 hours) and short flights 30mins-3hours. I hate it every time. But the short ones are pretty good.

Flying is awesome! I loved it so much that I decided to go into pilot training and major in Air Transportation in college. I have been on airplanes since I was very little, but what really got me hooked was when I did a discovery flight in one of the tiny airplanes, probably a Cessna 152. I sat up front next to the pilot and just had a closer connection to that flight rather than an airliner. I was probably 10 at the time. Then during midflight, the pilot let me have the controls, and I officially fell in love with flying ever since.

I know flying is not everyone's cup of tea, and that's okay. It's still a relatively new mode of transportation, and people just aren't used to it yet, compared to cars, boats, trains. Maybe that's what makes it so scary to some people?

Try going on a discovery flight at a local small airport sometime. They are usually happy to set one up for you. It might make you more comfortable with flying if you not already are. See the world from a different view, get inspired, have fun, do something different.

And as always, your art is amazing =)

Honestly I cried the first time from terror Alone (this was...a year and a half ago. I'm 20. LOL) but once I did it two more times, and each time after, I loved it. I always loved planes and wished to become a pilot so I guess I may be biased. But it didn't stop me from freaking out the first time. I like to draw and listen to music, I always get a window seat to watch the sky and whatnot. The scariest part...
big airports. :lmao: you never know where you're going! Ours is the size of a small wal Mart, literally, with puddle jumpers And extremely small jets. So I'm comfortable there. But NYC...Philadelphia...Detroit..Orlando...whew!!! So big.
Overall, fun and amazing and exciting.

I think flying is a great experience. It's so beautiful to see the land disappear under you as you take off, and to watch the clouds during the day and night~.... But that's the only good stuff I can think of if you're doing it solo. Be warned of bad food (depends on the plane), your ears plugging up during take off, and bring something to do for a while (I brought my sketchbook and iPod for music. Books work too.) There are going to be annoying strangers, you're probably going to be fumbling around during the security check, and if you're lucky you'll also get a toddler kicking at the back of your seat. Honestly though, if you don't have a baby on the plane, the overall experience isn't that bad. Also bring a bottle of water, a small snack, and a light sweater for the flight. Prepare for the worst, aka, delayed flights.

I've flown twice, and both trips were pre-9/11.  I can imagine what fresh hell the airport experience in the USA is now, and I am rather glad I've no need to fly, nor the funds to do it with.  As for the flight itself, it felt little different than riding in a bus to me.
