my friends grandma makes the best apple pie drink with ever clear. gotta be careful because you can forget it's alcohol XD and it's string shit. I work a job that supports me doing just part time too (work in a kennel but I live on property so it lowers my bills by a lot) so it gives me time to work on my comic  :)

Aha nice! I would love to work on the Naor Manga more, but after my internship I learned about a lot of things I should have done before making pages, and so I'm backpedaling a bit so that I can do this right. I am having to revamp my script and cut out about 1/3 of the content to make the the right length for a first time creator, but I am happy to do so since Viz Media asked me to do so then show them again. I met some badass people at those conventions.

and OMG those drinks that sneak up on you. It is strange giving drinks to people who look like they cannot hold their liquor or ask for high content drinks. Thankfully since I work in a hostel 99.99% of my customers simply have a room on the property, so not much to worry about. It still can be really funny or really aggravating to be around so many drunk people at once. Our apple pie is pretty mellow, some fireball + apple cider + whipped cream/baileys. ouo

My comic is more for myself than anyone else, I've been in pre-production since last october and I'm just now working on the first batch of pages. I know it's going to be a bumpy ride in the beginning but I like being able to look back at my past work and see where I've improved.

I've never really drank around people I didn't know I think it would be pretty nerve wracking for me XD I'm sure you hear tons of interesting stories though, it'd be cool if you did something like bear minimum The bear minimum way where it's just a simple line comic to share some stories you've encountered XD

ROFL I was in preproduction from about 2012 to 2015, so I feel you. I still consider myself preproduction since I have having to start over but eh. As long as it makes you happy and you love doing it keep doing it. I can attest to the part about looking back and being happy seeing how far you have come!

Oh I love that comic! That's a good idea when I'm not so swamped already.

Yeah I definitely see where another year would be good XD but I worry if I don't start I won't, and because it's just for me any loose ends won't be too big of a deal. This project is near and dear to my heart so part of me wants it to be perfect, but part of me also finds it very special that it's where all the learning and mistakes will take place :)

This is true, some things get lost in procrastination-land. XD I guess I'm so excited to get pages done I'm always working on them. lol

I never considered myself a comic artist or a story teller, it wasn't until I had a story that I wanted to tell and needed a way to tell it that I started dabbling in comics

Most people seem to be that way? Single panel comics/editorials are hard to get into and tell a story with. I was pretty similar tbh if I look back at it? Though I liked storytelling originally due to studying animation. Animation and comics are pretty much the same thing however if you really think about it, one just has more pictures. XD

Well, I thought you were waiter (it was not defined but thought after work in the evening hours).
So, I was not as wrong. There is not so much difference, bartender is cool as well :)

There really isn't much difference except that instead of just taking orders you make them as well! So it is like being the waiter AND cook at the same time. XD However I do not have to run around the floor as much. People come to me when they want something. lol

Did you have to go to bartending school to become a bartender?

Aha nope! It is advised that you take mixology courses, but at the time I was hired I was in the middle of an internship with Tokyopop (manga company). However now that I am finished with my my internship, I can take courses and get reimbursed by my employer. Also here, you don't need an RSA certificate or anything like that to be a bartender.
