look's gorgeous very beautiful! but i see the tail and mane stands out from your painting much try add colors from the back ground into it you see everything reflects light not only light sources. and try use some blue in your shadows that makes it more natural. and some yellow where the light hits it.
if you think about those things i'm sure it will turn out better. and i think the foreground should have some more contrast since objects that is further towards the viewer has more contrast.
the concept is nice too! keep up the good work. also because of the contrast of the tail it makes the viewer recognice the tail first that's also becuse the tail in closer the viewer in perspective. first<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>
