I'm not going to bore you with the in between so all you need to know is I grew up in Chicago with a hunger to tell stories and create art. At the age of 16 I got into shooting and editing my own films. I have since then directed, written, produced, acted in, edited, animated, voiced, did sound design for, made music for, casted for, made graphics for, did makeup for, special FX, location managed, and made props for several of my own films and animations which can be found here:
Through what has been the craziest mix of luck and possibly karma I managed to land a job at the local CBS affiliate in Wichita Falls, Texas. I technical directed newscasts, operated the audio board, edited videos, ran studio cameras, wrote scripts, voiced commercials, and eventually became a photojournalist. Having gotten a taste of the rush that comes with covering news and being on the frontline holding a camera helped me decide that being a photojournalist was what I wanted to do for a living. I eventually decided to move on after 2 years at my station in Texas and got a job offer in Tulsa working for the NBC affiliate where I currently reside. Ultimately I would like to get back to Chicago but until then Tulsa is a pretty amazing city. Taking photos, making videos, writing, editing, covering breaking news, etc. is what I live for. Art, film, photography, music, is in my blood. I crave creativity and have to express myself artistically. What you see is what you get. Professional photographer of nearly 4 years and counting with no intention of stopping.
