Forest Spirit v2 by necron Forest Spirit v2 by necron
Well.. its truly an improvement since Forest Spirit v1. (i think it sucks) So im happy with the outcome.

The picture is relatively easy seen from a technical point of view. But its "clean", thats what i like about it. My actually fit the tree quite well.
It was originaly made for my art class, where im doing a project on digital art. I have used pixelphreak and matteos work as an example of great digital artists. (i hope its ok with them, i didnt ask for their permission)
oh... and btw, can anyone explain me the difference between Indyart Photomanipulated and Wallpapes Photomanipulated, it only seems like the words are different.

So.. nothing left to say.. enjoy ;) (Wink)

ahh yes and the difference between indyart and wallpaper photomanip?

a wallpaper is designed as a wallpaper.
to explain: icons and text are to go on top so this must be taken into consideration when choosing color schemes and luminosity. they are also designed to set sizes eg. 640 x 480

indyart: could be any size or dimensions, including the wallpaper standard sizes... but if its a wallpaper standard size might as well submit it as a wallpaper cause more peeps probably look at them due to narrow mindsets :) (Smile)

(PERSONAL OPINION ONLY CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG PLEASE!!)

Interesting piece. A little to blurry, but overall nice piece. Good work.

trees have great form. sense of isolation and nature. doesnt it feel like someones watchin you sometimes when you are deep in a forest (if you ever have been deep in a forest?) thats what sprung to my mind anyways. nice first impression.
moving right along...
face is done very well! simple yet no more needs to be done to merge it with the image.
the trees...hmmm.... maybe the offset semi-transparent layer needs to be slightly more subtle? maybe without the trees? or the layer not offset at all, but same alignment, with a slight blur applied and the layer merged as overlay at around 35% opacity?
The sharp text doesnt quite fit in, and i'm not sure it adds anything to the image in my mind. I keep trying to ignore the text and see past it so i can see your image better.
great work!
cheers
