The journey was long and certainly dangerous. At least four guards perished to the wild beasts that roamed the old highways, and twice that many were wounded. But they knew the risks and were paid well for their services. The worse were the two wagons we lost and the dozen that decided to risk turning back with little more than a horse. But we cannot force anyone to follow us into this new life, especially farm-lads who were so taken by the idea of an adventure, to the point where they enlisted for free, but never really thought it through.
Now here we stand, at the crashed gateway of Aljair. The city was abandoned during the Dark Awakening, left to nothing but the dead and the shadows. Now, nature as taken it, climbing plants reach as high as two story-building and grass has overrun the paved streets. From the top of the crashed gateway we can see it, a city that is partially collapsed, even the central temple that once stood over all buildings, right in the center of the city, didn’t resist the passage of time… only a few towers and facades remain. Yet most of the city is intact. And so we’ll enter here, our new home, and try to recover as much of it as possible. It will take centuries before the city breathes life again, but for the moment, as the sun rises to our right, we can proudly say: there is hope.A little scene done for this projectwww.indiegogo.com/projects/van…Please feel free to check it out and support it if you are into tabletop RPGs!So glad that the project is finally out and I can start sharing some images!
