Iggy the Pitte by Nayikee Iggy the Pitte by Nayikee
A photo of my pitbull dog "Iggy" I've known him since he was just a little pup. Someone had dumped the
little guy by the side of the road near where I live. I'm just happy that I found him in time as I live on the
outskirts of Vegas out in the desert. He wouldn't have lasted very long as he was just 6-7 weeks old.I chose
the name Iggy because as a pupper, he had the most ignorant feet that I'd ever seen!

I used to be wary of these dogs due to the bad reputation that these animals had attached to them as
a breed. But since I've come to know them they are the most loyalest, adorable and goofiest dogs that
I've ever known.

You're absolutely right.

Especially pitbulls, the most least understood breed of dog there is.

I love most animals, and I know how people feel about theirs.  So many have such awful lives.  If animals do not have souls than neither do we.

Poor little guy.  After my cat Phoebe was killed by a neighbors group of pits, I had a prejudice against them.  Yesterday out at my property I am fixing up, a lovely, happy pit puppy ran up and wanted to play.  I fed him and he ran off.  He was wearing a collar so he has a home.  Every pit I have ever known was a very sweet dog.  I have a weakness for dogs and cats.  And donkeys.

I'm sorry to hear about your cat. Under those circumstances I too
would harbore ill feelings towards anything that would harm any
of my pets. Before Iggy came into my life I had no affection for the
pit bull breed. I'd read and saw many graphic images of what this
animal could wreak on a living thing.

Donkeys. I like them as well. I love the way they look and bray!

We have a breed of folk down here that raise Pit Bulls to be aggressive, and let them roam lose.  It is a serious problem and they kill several people a year.  Every Pit I have known was a sweet dog, even the one that savaged a 3 year old girl. Her grandfather shot the dog.  The owner was in my trailer raging about what he was going to do to the man.  I pointed out that the man would kill him too, as would anyone who had a little girl mauled by some idiot's dog.  A few weeks later the dog owner dropped a car on himself and that was that.  If you have a pet and are a responsible owner, I have no problem with that.
I may get a donkey.  There are feral hogs at my new place and a donkey would be the best sort of early warning device.
