Neat little vignette, I love the timberwork on the building in the foreground, as well as the layers and texture of the thatched roof. Reminds me of The Saint Nicholas Place, a medieval building not far from here.  Details here, if you're curious: www.saintnicolasplace.co.uk

Thank you!:D (Big Grin)
I've always found that style of medieval woodwork to be so beautiful.
Thanks for the link. Saint Nicholas Palace would be a wonderful place
to visit.

Some examples of modern structures have a span of maybe 50 years
or less. In all probability this building has stood fast for over 400 years!

You're most welcome! I've always found it appealing, too!
I actually do have a sketch I did of St Nicholas Place in my books somewhere.. though the portions went a bit squiffy. I'll see if I can turn it up for you! It's certainly worth a visit, there's a nice cafe and the village around it is quite beautiful, too.. you wouldn't think you were in a suburb of a major city!

Oh, certainly. Here in Birmingham we just lost our 'Central Library' ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birmingh… )and the Natwest Tower (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/103_Colm… ), both examples of seventies brutalism that didn't make the half-century.  The former was a little bit of a shame.. it was a bit grimy in its last days, but nothing some love couldn't have fixed! The latter... belonged in something a lot more dystopian.

Certainly made for contrasts with the older buildings in the city!

Great detail on the structures. There's something wrong with his right hand/paw. Clap Clap

Thanks! During a drunken brawl with a bad tempered badger
foxy lost a few of his phalanges due to his opponents sharp teeth.:squee:

Hello:
I like all the details in that place. At least that anthro person there has a place to sleep inside a house :D .
