I made a silly drawing with one of those bases that are on pinterest, I don't know if you've seen it before :v
And the drawing has an error that at this point I can't correct, Kai's right arm isn't even robotic, it's an organic arm :'v
Although you can surely enjoy this cartoon, better than the furry alien enjoys his frosted flakes, right? :3

Kai needs a snickers, they're all gonna need a new chair when Kai gets finished 'using' it on La-Loyd, and La-Loyd is... probably gonna need lots of head treatment after this.
To be fair, you did mention that Belbics aren't the most friendly around humans. To add on to that, we do not know the full story behind Kai, nor what he's been through so far with his experience in the previously mentioned gang, and the corrupt city, Nueva Vega, as a whole. We don't even know how he got his cybernetic arm replacement, so he's probably not too fond of that either, so one could make the opinion that Kai isn't your standard Belbic like Awy during his time in the city, thus making him more "harumph harumph" (aggressive).
