This is a photography only group to showcase the beauty of natural lights in the night sky.
If you have ever pointed your camera at a storm waiting for an elusive flash of lightning- We want you and your work
If you have ever pointed your camera at the night sky and held the shutter open for a long exposure to capture the stars, aurora, comets, etc.- We want you and your work
If you have ever attached a camera to a telescope or put a telephoto lens on your camera to image the moon, planets or the wonders of deep space- We want you and your work
....and even if you have never done anything like that, but you like viewing them or you want to learn how to do them We want you
How To Submit Your Work First become a member of the group by requesting to join. Once you are a member, go to the "Current Submissions" Folder and click +Submit To This Folder. If you deviation is accepted it will then be moved to the appropriate gallery folder.
Current folder submission limit of 2 deviations per day for members.
Lightning- For all photos of lightning
Night Sky Scapes- Photos of aurora, star fields, star trails, meteors, etc.
Solar System- Photos of individual planets, comets, the moon, the solar disc, etc.
Deep Space- Photos of nebulas, galaxies, globular clusters, etc.
Featured- You can not submit to the featured folder. This folder is reserved for deviations that win future polls, competitions or get awarded a Daily Deviation (If a deviation of yours has got a DD, please send the group a note and it will be moved to the featured folder)
All submissions are subject to a vote. Declined submissions will get feedback on the reasons behind the decline.
As this is a group focused on natural lights. Submissions should have the natural lights as the main focal point. Submissions with too many artificial lights may be declined
No photo manipulations. Panoramas and techniques specific to astrophotography like stacking multiple frames and blending exposures are acceptable. Please declare in the artist description if a lightning photo is a blend of frames.
No DA watermarks or excessivly large logos or names
No spam. All spammers will be blocked and reported.
