Unluckily for me, I first saw the movie. Which was downright dreadful. I hope you didn't make the mistake of watching it yet XD it's cringy. Anyhow. In the end I ended up reading the books anyway and actually quite enjoyed them. Hell, i read them a few times now over the course of the years although i have started skipping the third. That one is pointless XD
