Ahh yea I got the Prometheus Art Of book for my husband
And he got me the 'Alien Vault' which has ton's of behind the scenes of the first film, including samples of scripts, photography and storyboard samples. I actually used it a lot of understand storyboarding more. Ridley's way of working is amazing! (plus he also shares the same theory as me - that artists work a little better under the influence of a glass of red wine
) you should definitely check it out if you haven't already! Also have you read any of the Alien Omnibus's?? They are really cool! Though the first one is a little odd as it continues after the second film, all the other stories are original and experiment with a lot of origins of the Xenomorphs and how people on Earth deal with their discovery *geeking out!* >.<;;
I also have a bunch of Giger's art books too ._.
I do really love Cameron's film, it was the first one I watched (when I was 8 years old >.>;..) but I find the performances in Ridley's film pretty much perfect (nothing has beaten John Hurts chest burster scene for me!), plus the lighting and camera angles are beautiful. I know Cameron adapted that feel to his films, and you can really see the influence in the sewers with Newt, which makes it a perfect sequel to a perfect movie =w=
