Hey, I saw this piece and had to take the time to give a critique!

The way you have composed this photo is really captivating, the intense stare creates an interesting unsaid story, it can be interpreted in so many ways and it is really built upon with the placement of the cross.

I can see your vision in this piece straight away and how you've gone about trying to capture it! To further your vision I would love to see maybe some more background or maybe more small details. But hey! Less can truly be more as well. I suppose that's subjective <img src="…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>

I do think this is an original piece, from what I've viewed there isn't too much else out there that uses the elements and manipulates them like you have.

The impact of course is amazing, it's what got me to write this, perhaps though to make it even more eye catching work on incorporating stronger focus on colour. I believe you have also done an excellent job on technique, the way you have overall combined all elements with vector lines is very well done. Where I think would be excellent is applying the knowledge of vector you have here and making a more experimental piece using perspective, i.e. a different view of the eyes, maybe slightly off centre.

Overall this is a very beautiful photo and you have captured it in such a way that really creates an expressive portrait.
