At first, as a small image, I thought it wasn't much.

Then I magnified it as a larger image and I thought what a fine night image. I noticed the Moon at first, then the trees, which set the mood, then a person standing in between. Lastly some clouds hinted to be seen. Now I was wondering if there were any stars visible, to complete the emotional theme, and yes there were some.

Once I went to see if there was any camera/exposure information, I discovered this was taken in the afternoon. There couldn't be any stars visible, certainly niot that low to the horizon.

I take this as a clever edited image to create a conception for the mood, and it does work especially well on that level.

I wish this could have been taken as a night image, but the clouds would never appear, and the stars, as well.

I'm not sure. That is a very thin crescent moon - 4pm is quite early for such a setting, is it not? Or do you far northerns see things that differently?

I've taken Moon during afternoon but never stars that early. I am at 39 north latitude and it doesn't happen that way. If you check the time stamp and exposure details it seems not possible.

Will wait to hear from the photographer. Still it's a very fine image which might have been printed dark.

Lovely image - the sense of scale and perspective.
Personally, I suspect the time/ date on your camera may be off? A crescent moon that thin at 4pm? And the stars.

Fascinating and beautiful. Just saw harrietsfriend's critique and had to view the full image.
