It is a canon in Delfia and "Baby"'s story that those of their kind would have their wings mutilated by humans who coveted their feathers for the false belief that the feathers had some sort of ethereal power to fulfill wishes. It's one of many reasons why passage to Earth is forbidden and that their species generally view humans as barbaric.

Thanks. :heart: I'm glad you appreciate it. I'm traditionally trained in the "isms" and I've received a number of honors and awards with my fine art. Up to this point though I've kept my anime/manga illustrations separate from my fine art, or even my American-style illustrations because of the deep-rooted stigma against anime/manga art in my field. These specific works exist in a world in-between for me. That's why I'm showing them here. :) I'm still nervous about posting them as Nasika though, haha.
