This picture actually inspired me for one of my stories. It was to show how evil the antagonist is in my fiction. But my parents told me the idea was too dark, so... I had to abandon it and change my plot. :hmm:

Awe~ I'm glad that I inspired you. Sorry it ended up not working out~ My dad's told me that about one of my comics too. I still want to make it some day though because the unhappy ending is necessary for the story's meaning. I tried other endings, but that's the one that just makes sense and feels necessary for the plot to be meaningful.

I understand. That's why the ending in my story is bitter-sweet. She achieves her goals, but finds out that her success only has a small effect on stopping a crime that's really on a far grander scale than she first expects. And along the way she fails to protect her best friend and instead flees to save herself. It was a split second choice that she forever regrets because she never sees her friend again. She partially blames herself for that split-second choice, but also fosters immense hatred for the men who attacked them.
