Commission for Vicky Tran

Tried my new experimental style on the cherry blossoms here. I think it worked out pretty well. :meow:

Ahhhhh, this piece takes me right to their magical land. Royalty having the chance to step away from their duties and embrace the beauty of their kingdom. May their prosperity last for countless generations~

Haha I'm sure they'll appreciate that. ^^ Thank you so much for sharing your immersion experience! It's a great compliment.

Woow your art is so beautiful!! Love the colors you use and the atmosphere you create in your drawings!

Oh, thank you so much! I'm very glad that you say you can feel an atmosphere from my work. That's an incredible compliment. :glomp:

Yeah the detail on the kimono's is amazing!~ I love the vibrant use of color for the background.

Thanks. I feel the kimono sleeve could have been more dimensional in retrospect. It looks more like a patterned sheet of washi paper lain down currently, which is a neat effect in itself and very Japanese, but it was not the original intention. I need to have better control and mindfulness in execution. ^^

oh man, the attention to detail in the kimono patterns is gorgeous!! the girl's hair flows so nicely too.

Thank you. I really love flowing curves. Soft curves are my favorite line quality. This is probably why my favorite body type to render is slightly curvy women.

Thank you very much! I adore cherry blossoms too, if that was not evident from my username, haha. The room that was meant to be my nursery but instead later became my bedroom once I was older has one wall that is entirely a sliding glass door overlooking fruit trees that blossom in springtime around my birthday. I loved them. They were not cherry blossoms but I always wished they were so that they would be more pink, which is my favorite color. I've been smitten with cherry blossoms for as long as I can remember.

I love cherry blossoms so much  But it's a fairly uncommon tree where I live. Pink is one of my favorite colors too! And that's why whenever we go to a nursery we always buy lilies. They're my favorites :happybounce: Flowerpot  Roses are nice too, and I like bluebells. But I've never seen a cherry blossom in real life. We don't even have one in our botanical garden in town.

That's a shame. They're a little uncommon here but they are around.

Thanks!!! ^^ It is very small, but I worked on it for such a long time! There's three more I the series to come. The next one I wanted to have done for Hinamatsuri/ Girl's Day since it is in the style of the hina (princess) dolls, but alas, it has yet to be fully colored~
