Sometimes the things that bother you become all you see, or is it that all you see is what bothers you? Which is consuming which? Who takes a bite and who is bitten?

Thank you very much! I am still unsure what kind of a painter I am, but try to figure it out organically. The mark making us very different than my tightly controlled colored pencils! I'm relieved and flattered that you like this looser abstract approach. Thank you so much again for your comment. ^^

Thank you so much.
I'm uncomfortable with abstraction because I've held fast to realism in my fine art for so long, trying to perform as "professional" as possible in an academic setting which detests anime/manga canon. With these works, I finally was starting to blend my expressions. While I feel that most of the paintings are unsuccessful as works themselves, I think their purpose in allowing me to explore my expressions, application, and content is successful. That was a lot of exposition, but what I'm trying to say is that I'm very glad that you say you like the abstraction. It's a relief. ^^

Actually, I love the fact that you have stories behind them. I feel like it brings a whole a lot meaning to them, and really shows, from you, as an artist, how much you care, and how important these pieces are to you. I love your art. I think your pieces are very pretty and unique, and you should be very proud of them.
